The Binghams: July 2009

This post is what we've been up to for the past 6 weeks! Seth finished his second year of Medical school in May and then continued to study hard for his boards which he took in Utah. Things were a little stressful there for a bit but he passed and did great! He had his first rotation in Preston, ID so we stayed with his family in Logan. We had a lot of fun adventures while were there and we loved being able to see both of our families. We got to be there for the Ragnar Relay, 4th of July, Mary's birth, and Father's day too which was fun except that we spent the morning at the ER with Lincoln. He got really sick with some kind of virus, but they were able to give him a miracle medicine that helped to get through it. Unfortuneately, we all ended up getting some of his symptoms! We can't seem to go to Utah without Lincoln getting sick but over all we had a GREAT trip!

The first week we were there we got to help Mom watch Cherie's kids. I got a little peek into what my sister's life is like and now I know for sure she's amazing!! I don't think my brain has ever had to do so much multi-tasking in my life! The kids had so much fun together though. We really did have a good time.

We went to see the trains in Tooele but right when we got there it started raining! Mom and I thought we were pretty brave to take an outing with all 5 kids!

We went to a Bee's Baseball game with Seth's family so we could see his Grandpa. Lincoln loved the fries!

Somehow we lost Lincoln's puppy the first day we got there! It was quite dramatic, I even went to two barne's and nobles to try and get a new one, but neither of them had it! So we got out all of the stuffed animals that my parents had and he chose out a new friend!

We got to go to the Hogle Zoo with Cherie's kids. It was military day so it was SUPER busy but at least we got in free!

I got to do the Wasatch back Ragnar relay. It is a relay race that goes from Logan to Park City in 24 hours. We saw some beautiful scenery and had some fun runs.. and even managed to get a couple of hours of sleep!

Lincoln learned how to climb up on things...like the table while we were there! And for some reason he really liked this can of coke!

Scout and Lincoln were quite the buddies! Lincoln even learned how to bark like him while we were there.

In preparation for the pioneer trek that seth's parents were going on, we set up the tent in the front room to make sure they could do it. Lincoln thought it was pretty cool!

This was Lincoln's favorite toy!! Who would have thought that a pooper scooper could be so entertaining!! He loved it so much Grandpa grand bought him his own set. He would drag it around everywhere and even run with it down the hill!

Lincoln just loved being with his Grandpa Grand! He would hear his voice upstairs and drop what he was doing to run and to see him!

This is Shelbi, Grandma jo and lincoln. while we were there Lincoln got a new cousin! Mary Isabelle Allen born July 6, 2009, but silly me didn't get a picture. Sher is a cutie! Lincoln didn't understand though that she is a helpless baby and so he tried to share his toys with her by almost dropping his bus on her! yikes.

Mom and Dad came up to Logan for a day to see Josh and I. We went to lunch and shopping.

We got to spend 4th of July weekend at my parents with Cherie' and her family, Gena and all of her kids, and Michael and Sheri and their boys. We had a blast! On the July 4th we went to a neighborhood party on the lake where they had a hawaiian fire show, big blow up toys for the kids and fireweorks! We also got to go to the Oquirrh temple open house which was neat.
